FRUSTRATION, A CATALYST FOR CHANGE

We have all been there. something doesn't go the way we were hoping or we view activity that seems unfair and we become frustrated. Frustration is defined as the feeling of being upset or annoyed, especially because of the inability to change or achieve something. I tune into the latter segment of that definition, the inability to change or achieve something. I experienced an incident today that signalled a response in me to take a deeper look to determine the true source of my frustration. It wasn't what was happening on the immediate surface, me not getting my way today in regards to a seemingly unfair situation, but rather an awareness that I haven't yet achieved what I set out to do 5 years ago. My feelings of frustration lingered today until I became aware that there is more I can do to achieve my goals. If I don't want this feeling to return regarding my goals I need to step it up, stop making excuses, organize my time, and become accountable to myself. Pay attention to how you feel. Your emotions that may seem trivial may actually be sending you relevant information. Frustration may be calling out to you for your highest good to steer you in the right direction, perhaps via a call to change something that may be less obvious initially.
